Contest Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
  • 1.1 The giveaway contest (the "Contest") is organized by Energy Creates (the "Organizer").
  • 1.2 By entering the Contest, each participant (the "Entrant") agrees to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Eligibility
  • 2.1 The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada who are 15 years and older.
  • 2.2 Employees, agents, and representatives of the Organizer, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising/promotional agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

3. Contest Period
  • 3.1 The Contest begins on Friday June 28, 2024 and ends on Friday August 16, 2024 (the "Contest Period").
     
4. How to Enter
  • 4.1 To enter the Contest, participants must follow the Organizer's Instagram account, like the contest post, comment their post-secondary program, and tag two friends. For an extra 5 entries, entrants must share to their story and tag @energycreates.  
  • 4.2 No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest.

5. Prizes
  • 5.1 The prize(s) (the "Prize") will be an iPad 10th Generation with 256GB, and WiFi enabled.
  • 5.2 The Prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash or other items.
  • 5.3 The Organizer reserves the right to substitute the Prize with another of equal or greater value if the original Prize becomes unavailable.

6. Winner Selection and Notification
  • 6.1 The winner(s) (the "Winner") will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
  • 6.2 The draw will take place on Friday August 16, 2024.
  • 6.3 The Winner will be notified via direct message on social media within 7 days after the draw.
  • 6.4 If the Winner does not respond within 7 days of the notification, another Winner will be selected in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

7. Claiming the Prize
  • 7.1 The Winner must provide proof of identity and eligibility to claim the Prize.
  • 7.2 The Prize must be claimed within 30 days of the Winner being notified.

8. Publicity
  • 8.1 By entering the Contest, each Entrant consents to the use of their name, image, and likeness for promotional purposes without additional compensation.

9. Limitation of Liability
  • 9.1 The Organizer is not responsible for any lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries, or for any technical malfunctions, failures, or other issues beyond its control.
  • 9.2 By entering the Contest, each Entrant releases the Organizer and its affiliates from any liability related to the Contest or the Prize.

10. Privacy
  • 10.1 Any personal information collected during the Contest will be used in accordance with the Organizer's privacy policy.

11. General
  • 11.1 The Organizer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest at any time without prior notice.
  • 11.2 The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations.
  • 11.3 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Alberta.
